When a company is alleged to have made omissions or misrepresentations regarding certain aspects of the services it provides a distinct possibility of some sort of legal action exists.  When the allegations effect a customer base as large the one Uber lays claim to, it comes as no surprise to see the resulting legal action take the form of a HUMONGOUS class action lawsuit.  The lawsuit called McKnight et al. v. Uber Technologies, Inc. et al has recently come to an agreed upon pending settlement for a jaw-dropping $32.5 MILLION in hopes of resolving allegations that the Defendants made misrepresentations or omissions regarding the Safe Rides Fee, safety measures, and the background check process for potential drivers.  It is extremely important to point out that the Defendants vigorously deny (and continue to dispute) all claims and contentions alleged in the lawsuit.  However, it appears that at this point the court will NOT be making a decision on who’s right and who’s wrong due to the previously mentioned pending settlement.  Those who wish to request payment n the form of a check or via PayPal or can begin by going to the Ride Share Settlement page and clicking the Elect Method of Payment link.
